Overall, the FBI IAA’s 1st Annual Intelligence Forum was a solid success! Over 200 people attended!!!
The atmosphere was upbeat, the venue and décor were impeccable, the refreshments were gourmet, the service was attentive, and the speakers were entertaining and insightful.
Attendees, Sponsors, and Distinguished Guests agreed that the event was professionally executed and worth attending. If you weren't able to make it you missed the rousing keynote speech by Mr. John Miller Deputy Director of Analysis at the ODNI who gave a FBI focused speech on "Intelligence Transformation Challenges" the focus of our event.
Afterwards a distinguished panel of speakers answered a few key questions relating to Intelligence Transformation Challenges for the 21st Century. The panel included Mr. Miller, Ms. Maureen Baginski, Dr. Mark Lownethal, Dr. Amy Zegart, and Mr. Michael Waschull. Speakers tackled the needed abilities of the next FBI Director as well as the state of intelligence transformation at the FBI.
We believe the event left people entertained, inspired, challenged, and proud to have supported America’s Wounded Warriors. In fact we ended up raising $11,705 at the event and presented Wounded Warriors with a check in that amount on the spot. Partially Contributing to the funds were the sale and presentation of the FBI IAA's new Challenge Coin. (Details for obtaining/purchasing will be available soon, keeping checking at FBIIAA.org)
Another highlight were the awards given to our sponsors, keynote speaker and panel members, but a special highlight had to be a touching and inspiring speech given by retired Supervisory Intelligence Analyst Jim Mackey in honor of and an award for former FBI Executive Assistant Director for Intelligence Baginski.
Speeches by FBI IAA Legal Counsel Robert Seldon and Partnership and Engagement Director Daniel O'Donnell focused on how far the FBI IAA has come and the need for continued growth. And of course we awarded some great door prizes, giving away an IPAD 2 and Bose Sound Dock to two lucky winners!
Thanks to all the FBI analysts and others who attended as well as the many many event staff and volunteers who made it all possible!
Finally thanks to all the sponsors of the Intelligence Forum.
